We are looking for a new employee in our aluminium department. In this department, aluminium products are bent and milled. In post-processing, these products are sawn, polished, annealed and packaged.
For this position, you will be offered an internal training programme in which you will be taught these finishing operations. This gives you a very varied job.

What you will be doing

As an Aluminium general employee, you will have a versatile job with various tasks including:

• reading technical drawings
• setting and sawing on the sawing machine
• grinding and polishing aluminium products
• neatly packaging bent products
• working safely with lifting equipment, including operating overhead cranes

This is where you will be working

You will work in a nice team with a pleasant working atmosphere. No two days are the same! As a team, you will work on series products for trains, buses and (medical) devices, for example, and work together on bent parts and subassemblies for architectural projects all over the world. The plant is equipped with a range of extensive modern CNC bending machines, sawing machines, an advanced 5-axis milling machine for mechanical processing of bent parts and an ageing furnace.

Work is mostly day shift, but there are occasional shifts (morning and afternoon). 

This training is required

No specific prior training is required for the position. You will learn the job at Kersten.

Even if you have experience in another industry (e.g. hospitality, construction, healthcare, security, etc), but want to be trained in metal, you can apply. We have positive experiences with (internal) retraining of employees from another industry.
